Mountain Bike Clinics at Mt. Abram Bike Park

Ready to take your riding to the next level? Mt. Abram Bike Park offers a variety of mountain bike skills clinics throughout the season designed to help riders build confidence, improve technique, and progress on the trails.

Led by our experienced mountain bike coaches, these clinics provide focused instruction on specific skills like cornering, jumping, technical trail riding, body positioning, and finding flow. Whether you’re looking to dial in your downhill skills, feel more comfortable on challenging terrain, or simply become a smoother and more confident rider, our clinics offer the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment alongside other riders.

Clinics are geared toward intermediate and advanced riders, with options available for adults (ages 14+), women-centered groups, and youth riders ages 10–13. With small group coaching and plenty of time on the trails, you’ll get personalized feedback and the tools you need to keep progressing long after the clinic ends.

General Mountain Bike Clinics

Ages 14+

July 12th 10am – 12pm & August 14th 2pm – 4pm

Cornering is one of the biggest confidence builders in mountain biking. Learn how to carry more speed, maintain traction, and feel more in control through every turn.

This clinic focuses on the fundamentals of cornering, including body position, vision, braking, line choice, and bike-body separation. Riders will practice techniques on a variety of corners, from flat turns to flowing berms, helping you ride smoother, faster, and with more confidence. Recommended for intermediate riders looking to improve their overall trail skills.

Ages 14+

July 24th 2pm – 4pm

Technical trails reward strong body positioning, balance, and precise bike control. This clinic is designed for experienced riders looking to ride technical terrain with greater confidence, efficiency, and speed.

Through focused coaching and hands-on practice, riders will refine body positioning, line choice, braking, and wheel placement while tackling features on trails on the Westside and Mainside. Expect challenging terrain and personalized feedback throughout the session.

Ages 14+

August 7th 2pm – 4pm

Build confidence with your wheels off the ground in this introductory jumping clinic. Designed for riders who are new to jumping, this session focuses on developing strong fundamentals before progressing to larger features.

Riders will learn front wheel lifts, rear wheel lifts, level wheel lifts, and proper body positioning for safe, controlled takeoffs and landings. Coaching takes place in the skills park and on beginner-friendly features throughout the bike park. This clinic is recommended for riders who are not yet consistently clearing jumps on blue flow trails.

Ages 14+

August 9th 10am – 12pm

Take your jumping to the next level by building consistency, confidence, and style in the air.

Designed for riders who are already comfortable leaving the ground, this clinic focuses on improving technique, carrying speed, choosing lines, and riding jumps more smoothly. Coaching will utilize trails like Grease Slapper, Whiplash, and the skills park to help riders progress on a variety of jump features.

Women’s Mountain Bike Clinics

Women’s Clinics are open to women, nonbinary riders, and anyone who feels comfortable in a women-centered riding environment.
