We’re hiring for Bike Park 2025!
We are seeking motivated young adults to join our team. This position is perfect for students or those looking for flexible hours. Must be available Thursday – Sunday.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet customers as they approach the counter and take their orders
- Enter orders into the cash register and ensure correct pricing
- Accept payment from customers and give change as needed
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks
- Keep the counter and dining area clean and organized
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Deliver food to customers and assist waitstaff
- Work outside in all conditions
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Comfortable in a team-player role
- Own a mountain bike
- Coaches will be responsible for a group and/or one-on-one lessons.
- Work with many different age guests and coworkers
- Flexible to work in all types of programming our bike school has to offer
- Ensure riders safety and monitor all activities
- Follow all safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
- Attend Mt. Abram Staff Orientation
Job Description
Bike patroller’s general activities include, but are not limited to:
Rescue Operations
- Responding to incidents
- Stabilizing patient(s)
- Providing first aid care in accordance with the current version of the OEC book
- Transporting patient(s) off the hill
- Documentation of all incidents
- Trail Opening and Closing
- Continually monitoring safety of lift operations
- Promoting responsible riding
- Being able to participate in and/or lead a lift evacuation team.
- Providing accurate and courteous information to guests as requested
- Recognizing unsafe conditions on the hill, at the base facilities, parking lots and any other areas where Mt. Abram operates and being able to make the condition safe or mark it in such a way as to warn others.

Requirements:
- Current Outdoor Emergency Care certification and status with NSP is preferred.
- Lack of OEC certification can be sweetened by a current CPR certification and another medical certification such as Wilderness First Responder or EMT.
- Must own a mountain bike and be comfortable riding on Mt. Abram’s bike trails, including beginner and expert terrain. Lack of comfort “shredding” the trails is okay. Comfort safely riding them is a must. Opportunities for lessons with Mt. Abram’s Bike School are available to help build skill throughout the season.
- Good Physical Condition
- Able to ride a bike uphill, and downhill, throughout the day, and maintain adequate energy levels and appropriate hydration.
- Able to carry heavy loads upwards of 70lbs, such as carrying a patient in a litter through the woods, on and off trail.

We’re hiring for the Winter 2024/25 season!
- Identification and mitigation of risks both on the slopes and the mountain’s facilities.
- Patrolling the mountain’s terrain and ensuring a safe and fun experience for both guests and staff.
- Responding to incidents, treating injuries and providing efficient transport.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism and guest service.
- High level of physical fitness and preparedness to be outisde in all conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to safely ski/bike all terrain on the mountain in all conditions, and willingness to improve.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more while stooping, scooching, crawiling, standing, walking and/or skiing.
- CPR at the BLS level or higher.
- Membership with National Ski Patrol.
- Medical experience preferred as an OEC Technician.
- WFR, EMT, and RN certifications are acceptable but will need plan to obtain OEC.

The Snow Sports Instructor is responsible for instructing skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities to improve their skills, while providing a fun, safe and effective learning environment. Training is provided for new instructors.

Seasonal Program Instructor
Mt. Abram is hiring Ski and Snowboard Instructors for our Seasonal Program
We are looking for experienced coaches that have worked with children 6 years and up, or
skiers with coaching experience such as soccer, field hockey etc. Training will be provided.
Seasonal Instructors will teach or help with a group of children for 2 hours on
either, Friday afternoons 1:00-3:00, Saturday mornings at 9:30- 11:30, Saturday afternoons
at 1:00- 3:00, or Sunday mornings at 9:30-11:30. Children’s ages range from 6-17 years old.
The program starts on January 10, 2025 and runs through March 9th. There is no program
on Presidents weekend February 15-16, 2025.
