Mt. Abram is a family owned, independent ski area and bike park nestled in the western mountains of Maine. Since 1960, we’ve built a reputation as a community-driven mountain with a big heart and a laid-back spirit. Whether it’s carving fresh tracks in winter or riding laps at the bike park in summer, Mt. Abram offers an experience that’s rooted in authenticity, accessibility, and adventure.

We’re not about high-speed lifts or luxury lodges—we’re about connection: to the outdoors, to each other, and to a way of life that’s simple, genuine, and fun.

Mt. Abram has 1,150 feet (350 m) of vertical drop, with four lifts servicing 10 easy, 21 Intermediate, and 13 expert trails.

Mt. Abram can be broken up into two parts, the Mainside and Westside. Westside is the beginner area which has one double chairlift and a magic carpet lift, and where our Snowsports School is based. The main part of the mountain, serviced primarily by The Way Back Machine, another double chair, consists of many expert and intermediate trails along with wooded glades.

The trails at Mt. Abram are all named after the vintage Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon show; names include Dudley Do Right, Boris Badenov, and Natasha’s Niche.
