Loose Boots Lounge Line Cook

Mt. Abram is seeking a part-time Line Cook to join the kitchen team at the Loose Boots Lounge. This position begins in early December and includes evening and weekend shifts, with the potential for year-round employment for the right candidate. Competitive wages available for experienced applicants.

Food Runner & Dishwasher

Mt. Abram Ski Area is hiring a part-time Food Runner and Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at the Loose Boots Lounge. This role is essential to keeping service running smoothly during our busiest times and is a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active and working behind the scenes in a fast-paced environment.

This position is hiring immediately and includes Thursday and Friday evening shifts, plus Saturdays from 11am–7pm.

Responsibilities:
• Run food from the kitchen to guests quickly and efficiently
• Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Keep dish and prep areas clean, organized, and stocked
• Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams as needed

Qualifications:
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced setting
• Works well as part of a team
• Able to stay on your feet and lift light to moderate loads
• Weekend availability required

Schedule:
• Thursday & Friday evenings
• Saturdays, 11am–7pm

Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Summary:
Mt. Abram Ski Area is seeking an experienced Grooming and Equipment Operator to join our Mountain Operations team. This overnight position plays a key role in building and maintaining the quality snow surfaces our skiers and riders know and love.

Job Description:
As part of the Mountain Operations crew, you’ll operate snow grooming equipment to prepare and maintain ski trails, terrain parks, and base areas. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and takes pride in delivering a great on-mountain experience. This is a physically active, outdoor position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities:
• Operate snow grooming machinery (Prinoth) to maintain and shape ski trails
• Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
• Assist with snowmaking support and other mountain maintenance tasks as needed
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Communicate effectively with the Mountain Operations team

Qualifications:
• Previous experience operating grooming or heavy equipment required
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with large machinery
• Ability to work overnight shifts in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and during peak periods

Schedule:
Overnight shifts, with extended hours during snowmaking periods and holiday weeks.

Compensation:
Competitive pay based on experience.

SUMMARY:

We are looking for Lift Operators & Attendants! Our fun and diverse team of operators works both indoors and outdoors while assisting our guests at the ski lifts. 

The ability to ski or snowboard is not required for this position but there are opportunities to enjoy the slopes while working. Our operators have a great mix of social interaction and also enjoy plenty of mountain solitude! Come be an integral part of creating the Mt Abram experience for our guests and staff.

Part Time: must be available Saturday & Sundays

SUMMARY:

Come be a part of making the magic at Mt Abram. We are seeking a few individuals to run our Tbar lift on weekends and holidays. This part of Maine’s skiing history is a fan favorite and requires an enthusiastic operator who enjoys talking to guests while assisting them through the loading process. 

This is a Part Time role, but can be combined with other lift operation scheduling.

Part Time: must be available Saturday & Sundays

Mountain Operations Assistant

Mt. Abram Ski Area is seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to join our Mountain Operations team in a versatile, “jack of all trades” role. This position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a ski area running day in and day out.

You’ll work alongside experienced Mountain Ops staff and gain exposure to a wide range of operations, with opportunities to learn and grow in multiple areas of the mountain.

Areas of Involvement May Include:
• Snowmaking
• Vehicle and equipment support
• Lift operations
• Trail grooming assistance
• Base area and on-mountain maintenance
• Other Mountain Operations tasks as needed
