PLAN YOUR BIKE PARK VISIT
Planning your first day at the Mt. Abram Bike Park? A little preparation goes a long way toward making the most of your time on the trails. Our lift-served bike park in Greenwood, Maine offers terrain for riders of all ability levels, from first-time downhill riders to experienced mountain bikers.
Before you arrive, we recommend taking a few minutes to prepare for your day on the mountain.
Purchase tickets online
Bike park tickets can be purchased online ahead of time to make your arrival quicker and easier.
Complete your waiver
All riders must complete a bike park waiver before riding. Completing it in advance will help you get on the lift faster when you arrive.
Check trail status
Trail conditions can change due to weather and maintenance. Check the bike park trail status page for the most up-to-date information on open trails and conditions.
Review the trail map
If it’s your first visit, take a look at the bike park trail map before arriving so you can plan your first few runs and get familiar with the layout of the mountain.

APPROVED EQUIPMENT
Equipment requirements at Mt. Abram Bike Park
Bicycles MUST have hand brakes and be appropriate for use on mountain bike trails.
Disc brakes are recommended, along with front and rear suspension. If you are unsure if your bike is appropriate, we have a fleet of modern mountain bikes available for rent.
Coaster brakes are not allowed on our mountain bike trails
E-bikes are not allowed on the chairlift
But are welcome to use our Uphill Trail to access the downhill trails. Please ride responsibly and tread lightly on our uphill trail. Only pedal assist Class 1 & 3 E Bikes are allowed. No other motorized equipment may be used on our trails. This includes but is not limited to: Dirt Bikes, OneWheels, Scooters, ATV and any device with a throttle.
Minimum tire size for lift access is 20 inches.
16” bikes may be used on Ally’s Alley and Moosylvania, accessible from the base area.
Our chair lift can accommodate tire widths up to about 4.5” depending on the particular tire and its construction. Any equipment that does not properly fit on our chairlift bike carriers will not be allowed on the lift.
Our bike trails are designed for single riders riding single bikes. The following is NOT ALLOWED.
- Tag-along (tow behind) bikes.
- Child carriers that put more than one person on a bike.
- Tandem bicycles.
Any other cycle, vehicle or apparatus for use on our chairlift and/or trails will not be allowed unless cleared with Patrol, the Lifts Department or the General Manager.
LIFT TICKET POLICY
We are open rain or shine!
In the event of thunder reported by Mt. Abram Patrol, the lift will be closed for thirty minutes from the most recent occurrence. If the lift has only been open for two hours or less without the plan of reopening, you will be issued a Bike Park Lift Ticket Voucher equivalent to the ticket you purchased to come back and ride another day. If the lift has been spinning for more than two hours, vouchers will not be issued. Vouchers are given out in the Ticket Pavillon.
