Spring Bash
Mt. Abram Spring Bash
Saturday, March 21, 2026
Spring skiing season is here, and we’re celebrating the best way we know how — with a full day of sunshine, music, costumes, and classic Mt. Abram fun.
Join us for Spring Bash, our end-of-season celebration packed with live music, a costume contest, snowcat demos, and the always entertaining FOMA Cardboard Box Race. Whether you’re skiing laps in a retro one-piece or cheering from the deck with a cold beverage, it’s the perfect way to soak up the spirit of spring skiing at Mt. Abram.
Orono Brewing will be set up in the Mainside Base Area throughout the afternoon, and the deck will be buzzing with tunes from DJ Max from 2–5pm.
Feeling festive? Come dressed for the Spring Skiing Costume Contest at 3pm on the Mainside Deck. Categories include:

Later in the afternoon, Friends of Mt. Abram (FOMA) brings back one of the mountain’s most beloved traditions — the Cardboard Box Race. Racers build their own sleds using only cardboard and tape, then send them down the hill in a glorious test of creativity and engineering.
We’ll wrap up the evening in the Loose Boots Lounge with live music from Skosh from 6:30–9:30pm.
It’s everything we love about spring at Mt. Abram: soft turns, good friends, ridiculous costumes, and a mountain community that knows how to celebrate the season.
