This summer at Mt. Abram-
We are going into our 2nd season of moutain biking at Mt. Abram! Come ride with us, we have a lift-accessible, downhill mountain bike park designed for beginners and families; of course advanced riders are welcome, too. We have something for every skill level. Mt. Abram is a family-focused environment with a laid-back, respectful, non-pretentious attitude.
Beautifully designed mountain bike trails include features like: banked turns, whoops sections, long sweeping turns and amazing views on the Westside of Mt. Abram’s ski slopes. Trails flow easily from section to section and transition from the top to the bottom amidst beautiful natural scenery.
Mt. Abram is located about an hour and a half north of Portland in Greenwood, Maine.
Be sure to check out the Learn to Ride lessons – lift ticket and bike rental included!
Snacks and beverages for sale during summer operations.
Parking is available at the Westside Lodge but you will find the best parking options at the Main Lodge. After you park the car, gear up and it’s an easy bike ride over to the Westside Lodge on the McClain Lane Access Trail.
Catch a ride to the top on the Westside Chair Lift and enjoy amazing views while your bike is secured on the chair lift ahead of you. All mountain bike trails are designed to optimize the beginner experience and provide a platform for advanced riders to enjoy a day on the trail with their friends of all skill levels.
Mt. Abram is a great place for beginners to start riding and offers advanced riders plenty of terrain to improve your mountain biking skills. Experienced coaches will give you the tools you need to have fun going down the hill. You will learn the basics of bike set up and operation, body position, braking, descending and cornering. Your lesson will include guided run(s) on beginner friendly terrain. Mt. Abram offers private clinics and group clinics by appointment.
