At Mt. Abram, we believe time on the mountain builds more than just skills—it builds confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of winter. Our seasonal programs offer consistent, supportive coaching in a low-pressure environment, all while keeping the joy front and center.
Whether your kid is just starting out or already ripping all over the mountain, we’ve got a program that’ll help them grow—and have fun doing it.

Junior Instructor Program
Age 14 – 18
Mountain Sports leadership and instructor development for ages 14–18
The Junior Instructor Program gives teens a hands-on introduction to ski and snowboard instruction while developing their own technical skills, leadership, communication, and professionalism.
Participants work alongside experienced Mt. Abram Mountain Pros and gain exposure to the skills involved in teaching skiing and snowboarding. Throughout the season, Junior Instructors develop a better understanding of movement on snow, lesson environments, working with younger participants, and what it means to be part of a professional Mountain Sports team.
The program is an excellent pathway for teens interested in potentially working at Mt. Abram in the future. It is also a strong leadership-development opportunity for participants who simply want to become better communicators, more confident skiers or riders, and more engaged members of the mountain community.
