This week the mountain has secured our temporary structure that will be our home for the 2011-12 season. The building choice was an important part of the recovery from the fire to make sure it met our operational needs while creating a warm and cozy feel just like the past 50 years in our old lodge. The size of the building is 50×110, it will be located closer to the lift in the main base area. It will host the Loose Boots Lounge, Café, general seating, lockers and other area amenities. Rubb Building Designs will be designing and building our structure at their USA headquarters located in Sanford, ME. Buying local was a big factor along with the quality of their product and the functionality.
More exciting news for the mountain this week. Joe Reis & Tim Hutchisen will be leading our Race Program, along with some great returning and new coaches. The program is designed for all ages and abilities and starts with a meet & greet/open house for athletes and parents on Oct. 8th, 1pm at the Westside Lodge. The 2011-12 Program and Pass discount is available if you buy before Oct 15th.
